Why Is It Essential To Lose Weight?

Losing weight to look good and have comfortable fitting clothes is a worthwhile and enviable goal for many people. More importantly weight loss should be considered due to the for risk to health of being either overweight or obese. These risks are now well known and can lead to a reduce life expectancy by up to 4 to 5 years. This number actually doubles because a healthy lifestyle can increase longevity by the same number of years again. This is commonly known as reduced mortality. Another term that is also worth remembering is increased morbidity. This means the likelyhood of somebody suffering for longer from lifestyle diseases until the day they die. The types of dieases that can be picked up from eating too much red meat, having a high sugar, saturated fat and salt intake, having excess dairy products, smoking and excess drinking combined with little or no exercise are. Taking Weight Loss supplements such as Green Stingers can help reduce weight effectively for overweight and obese individuals but as stated before it should be part of a holistic program of lifestyle changes.

Muscle BuildBuilding Guide

You are working hard and sweating it out because you want to build hard muscles. You want to lose all your fats and you’re thinking that you have to limit your intake of food while doing your body building exercises; combining body building and diet. If you have grown to believe that combining both exercise and diet is the ideal solution to losing weight and gaining muscles, you have come to the right conclusion. But starving yourself is not the right kind of diet while you are doing body building. In fact you need to be eating a lot more. Body building requires a lot of energy and burns a lot of calories in your body.

You need to replace them as soon as you have finished your rounds of exercise routine. Replacing your lost calories is essential in order for you to bulk up your muscles. Your body requires fuel in order to perform body building exercises and your body’s fuel is food – it’s your source of energy. Never start your exercise routine on an empty stomach because you will not have the energy to lift the weights necessary in building muscle mass. Give your body the raw materials it needs by eating the right diet. Body building diet is rich in protein and carbohydrates, not fat and less sugar. You need to eat a lot of protein in order to support the build up of muscles.

Choosing Muscle Building Supplement

Wednesday, October 15, 2008 @ 09:10 AM

Sound nutrition forms the basis of any muscle building program and no amount of supplementation with the latest and greatest products will make up for bad eating habits. The bottom line is, bodybuilding supplements should be used IN ADDITION to regular food, not INSTEAD OF it.

Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s go on to think about what supplements could be of use and this is something that can only be determined by your physical and performance goals. Don’t make the mistake of copying your training partners or believing all the garbage spouted in magazine ads. Decide first what you want to achieve and then choose the supplements that will help you reach your goals.

To help you make an informed choice, the most popular and useful bodybuilding supplements available today are listed below, broadly divided into two goal-related categories.

Determined to build muscle? This cannot be achieved without dedication, sheer hard work and sound nutrition. With a solid foundation in place you can help the process along with supplements like creatine, whey protein, prohormones, testosterone boosters and amino acids.

Need to lose fat? There is no point in building awesome muscles if they’re covered by layers of fat. Once again, the key to success is hard work but you can boost fat loss by using products from supplement categories that include fat burners, stimulant-free products, appetite suppressants and carb blockers.

Many more supplements are available to support your bodybuilding endeavors. These include energy boosters and products aimed at enhancing the condition of your mind and body.

Pace Your Workout With Music

There have been many times when I dreaded spending 45 minutes to an hour on a treadmill just staring at a wall or watching a blip crawl around a screen. Then I discovered what so many others had already learned. Music is a powerful motivator. I tuned in to my favorite radio station, and all seemed right with the fitness routine. Right up until the song ended and the commercials started. Time to find a new workout motivator. I found one of the best fitness partners when I got an mp3/ipod music player.

During the Olympics I was reminded again how music can be used to get them pumped up for competition and for motivation during workouts. Every time I noticed Michael Phelps, he had his ipod to get him psyched up and focused. It must have helped some, look what happened in the swimming competitions.

Music is a natural performance aid and can change my mental state from a mediocre workout level to inspiring me to perform at a peak level. Also when I am tense, another style of music can calm me, and mellow my mood.

Nothing can get you in the fitness mood like music. When listening to music during training, I get totally absorbed in it. I shift my focus from the minor aches and pains I may have from working out and just get into the rhythm of the beat. The result is I work harder and your body appreciates it and rewards me with the results I want.

When I was in the military, we used marching and running cadences to accomplish this. Ever hear “I don’t know, but it’s been said…Air Force Wings are made of lead” or “Ain’t no sense in lookin down, …Ain’t no discharge on the ground.” well never mind, that’s a topic for different blog.

Personally I have found that ZZ Top albums like Afterburner, or Eliminator, are a perfect pace for my workout. I have the tunes loaded on my ipod, and after about 5 minutes of warm up, I’m ready to hit it hard.

So if you’re in the mood, make yourself a playlist, and get into it. If you don’t feel like researching your own tunes, go online. There are sites that sell workouts in mp3 or ipod format. Search on combinations of: fitness mp3/ipod or cardio mp3/ipod.

Enjoy!

Football Season’s Here, Get Your Fitness On

The Olympics have ended, football season has arrived for 2008-2009, and the fans are pumped. Me too! I don’t train like I did ‘Back in the day’, but I still jog and do some treadmill work, just for the cardio benefits. My favorite time of the year is fast approaching, and I need to step it up a bit for the annual Turkey Bowl. It’s a traditional flag football event for some of my friends and family. I need to get enough strength and wind to at least make a showing. We have been doing this since high school. (which is longer than I choose to remember sometimes.) We do cherish the memories of past glories though.

A friend of mine recommended a supplement called   Superpump 250 by Gaspari Nutrition  if I want to do some lifting and build a little lean muscle. He says he recovers really well for the next day, and the nitric oxide gives that extra boost to push harder through the workout. I think I’ll give it a try.

Confused About Steroid Definitions … So Am I !?

Friday, August 22, 2008 @ 11:08 AM

I get emails asking about what products are banned or whether you need a prescription to get them. Here is a short summary of what I have read recently.

In April 2008, the Drug Enforcement Administration published a notice of proposed rulemaking for Classification of  Three Steroids as Schedule III Anabolic Steroids Under the Controlled Substances Act. The DEA claims that boldione, desoxymethyltestosterone, and 19-nor- 4,9(10)-androstadienedione meet the four criteria in the statutory definition of an anabolic steroid.

Some people believed there was a June 24, 2008 deadline for banning these compounds, but it was merely the date set for comments responding to the proposed rule and is not the date that the compounds became “banned.” The Anabolic Steroid Control Act of 2004 is the legislation that authorizes the DEA to make rules to schedule substances as anabolic steroids and, thus, illegal controlled substances. The DEA is bound to follow administrative law in exercising its rulemaking authority. Thus, the public is first informed of the proposed rule, which was accomplished through its April 25th notice. Next, a time-period is established in order to permit the public to comment on the proposed rulemaking. Then, the DEA will analyze the comments submitted and respond thereto. Generally a permanent record is kept of an agency’s analysis and the rulemaking process. Finally, the DEA will determine whether the ingredients are anabolic steroids and whether they should be scheduled as controlled substances.

A Consultant serving as a watchdog for the Supplement Industry, named Supplement Consultants, saw that there was no intervention from the industry in this matter, and intervened in the DEA’s proposed rulemaking by submitting a comment expressing the sentiment of many throughout the industry.

They objected to two products being added to the list of controlled substances, since they are legal dietary ingredients. They sent a detailed argument against the scheduling of these two ingredients, to the DEA and are waiting to see what the DEA’s response will be.

The first “boldione,” a naturally occurring hormone in cattle that has been sold since 2002 as a dietary supplement, was not shown to be an anabolic steroid in the studies submitted by the DEA.

The DEA also offered insufficient information regarding the second prohormone, 19-nor-4,9(10)- androstadienedione (known by the trade name “FinigenX”), to serve as the basis for scheduling the ingredient as a steroid.   There was no reliable data showing FinigenX to be anabolic in the DEA’s study.

Special Bulletin from ProHormone

ProHormone Special Bulletin

I just received an email saying that the manufactures of Superplexx II , Hemobolin 250 and Hemogen B52 telling me that the ingredients used in manufacturing of these said products are starting to become a thing of the past.

The manufactures are currently having extreme difficulties in obtaining the raw materials to produce these products again. Not only are the raw materials getting scarce due to new FDA entry laws, the prices have sky rocketed to extreme amounts because of this.

Compounded with the deflated US dollar in the international realm which adds to the cost increase we now have concerns whether these types of products will continue to exist.

With all this being said, we are encouraging you to stock up while there is still availability. Keep in mind there are limited amounts so again we encourage you to act now while supplies lasts.

Here are three sites that I believe still carry the products but maybe not for much longer!

Exercise and heart health is a good mariage

I recently read this article written by Nicholas Webb, about exercise and heart health.

Most people get their health out of a bottle these days, be it a bottle of vitamins or pharmaceuticals. However, with a little effort and dedication you really can get a hold on your life, turn it round and live it to the full! If you’ve been diagnosed with heart disease or are at risk of developing heart disease regular exercise is essential for the health of your heart, body and mind. In fact, aerobic exercise and heart health really do go hand in hand. With busy lifestyles and lack of time, regular use of home equipment, such as a treadmill, an elliptical trainer, a stationary cycle, a stair-climber, etc. is becoming increasingly popular. These items are now precision health giving apparatus that really can help get you in shape. Gyms are also getting more and more members, but often people slack off because of time restraints. If this is you, working out at home may be the answer for youHowever, before jumping into your gym shoes talk to your doctor about your desires and objectives. Your doctor may be able to give you some useful insights you didn’t consider as well as coaching from a medical point of view. If your doctor gives you the OK, try to work some exercise into your daily routine. The American Heart Association (AHA) suggests, for example, that patients start by walking five minutes a day, then increasing gradually to 30 minutes over several weeks. Walking is a wonderful way to start, as it is low impact, you need no special equipment, and it costs nothing. Swimming may be another good choice. This type of exercise is called aerobic training that involves large muscle groups, such as the legs, and keeps your heart rate pumping for a set amount of time. Unless there are deformities of the heart muscle, aerobics and heart health are often found together and not only does the heart benefit, there are other advantages too.

Aerobic Exercising and Heart Health

As you can see, take it slow initially; it’s really not necessary to sign up at the local gym or aerobic class. Although, after some time you might want to do just that. Depending on where you live walking or swimming may not be an option. In such cases, you may like to consider a piece of home aerobic equipment such as a treadmill, stationary cycle or elliptical trainer. However, before purchasing a home trainer consider whether you will really use it. If the answer is yes, best get the best home aerobic equipment you can afford. Your heart will thank you.

Lack of exercise and heart disease

The American Heart Association has now added “lack of exercise” to the list of major risk factors for heart disease. The other risk factors are smoking, high blood pressure, and high blood cholesterol. Exercise not only helps fight heart disease and gets you in shape, but if you live a sedentary lifestyle, a regular exercise routine can also:

·  help control high blood pressure,

·  reduce the risks of type II diabetes,

·  help prevent osteoporosis,

·  improve your general wellbeing and help fight depression, anxiety and stress,

·  greatly help to lose weight

Those are just some of the benefits of doing regular exercise. I wanted to make a list of some of the disadvantages, but I can’t think of any! In an ideal world, in order to get the best results possible you should exercise three to five times a week for 30-60 minutes within your target heart rate. But even normal day to day events, such as taking the stairs instead of the lift, walking to work, walking the dog, or gardening can help. You can do many things to increase physical activity during the day; just try thinking about what you can do. The benefits are well worth the effort. Another thing that has proven to be effective is cross training. In cross training you participate in 2 or more different types of exercise during the week, for instance: Monday walking, Tuesday treadmill, Wednesday swimming, Thursday elliptical training, etc. You may also like to insert some strengthening exercises too, such as weight lifting. Not only will cross training help to tone your whole body, it will help stop boredom setting in. Many people stop training not because they don’t have the time, but because they get bored. If you can arrange a routine where you do something different each day, it is going to be difficult to get bored. So, talk with your doctor and start now! Once you notice the result, nothing will stop you. You’ll loose weight, be more toned and fit, will have a sharper outlook on life and, oh yes I almost forgot, you’ll live longer! Change is good for your Workout

I have been a member at the same gym for about two years now. The drive to the gym is long and boring, that once you get there the excitement is about gone so now you get in to your routine arm, legs, back, or super sets you know the drill. Same people Same machine Same everything. Then your workouts are suffering from being monotimous. It’s time for a change whether it be a new supplement like Stimerex ES for Weight Loss and Energy or a New Great Tasting Protein There has to be a change. Find a different way getting your cardio instead of running on a tread mill for a half an hour play racket ball, take your dog for a walk, or maybe some b-ball. Myself I went and joined a new gym Urban Active Fitness it was time for a change and it’s like a breth of fresh air. I look forward to going to workout. Better equipment and just a all around better vibe. You might say that is a lot of money it worth it if your going to use it like me if I pay for something I’m going to run it into the ground.
