Milk Makes Muscles
Athletes and workout enthusiasts have been told to disregard milk as a nutritional source for protein. We have been trained and conditioned to shun it from our daily diet. “Stay away from that milk,” we have been told. “It contains too many fats and not enough protein. It does nothing for you!” However, these claims are unsubstantiated and biased, and here’s why:
- Protein
In a single 8-ounce glass of milk there are nine grams of protein. In addition, that same glass of milk also contains all eight essential amino acids, so you get a completely digestible workout-recovery package. If you are going through a bulking phase, skim milk can give you the extra calories you need, without pushing you over your ideal caloric intake and into the fat gaining range. Milk also contains two different types of protein: casein and whey. Your body will enjoy the soothing extended sensation of casein, yet it will get the instantaneous whey for quick recovery.
- Nutrients
Milk contains a load of various nutrients – D, A, B2, B12, phosphorous, calcium – but it also contains vital electrolytes, which keep your body hydrated after an intense workout. Every time you sweat during a workout, you shed phosphorous, sodium, calcium, and electrolytes. A simple glass of skim milk can help to return these nutrients back into your system. If you work out constantly, you may sweat out so much calcium that your body is at risk of entering a calcium deficiency. A glass of milk will help deter this from happening.
- Too Much Milk
There are some individuals that simply cannot drink milk, whether they are lactose or simply sensitive to milk. Rather than drink large, copious amounts of milk right at the get-go, you should slowly introduce it to your system. See how much you can handle, how much is good for your tolerance level, and drink enough to replenish your lost protein. If you are just starting to work out, four glasses per day, spread out evenly, should be enough. You could even utilize milk as the base mixer for your protein powder, increasing the nutritional value greatly.
- Lactose
Lactaid-brand milk contains a lactose source that has already been broken down. If your stomach cannot handle lactose, this will be the milk for you. You get all of the protein, nutrients, and calories, without the added pain and bloating from lactose intolerance. Milk is a powerful dietary source of nutrients that should never be disregarded as a nutritional assistant for working out.
New American Whey Protein
STG Supplements has come out with their own brand of American whey protein. This is a revolutionary product simply for the reason that the price is lower than anyone else on the market. They have found a formula that allows the consumer to enjoy the product without the huge price tag attached to it. This is something they guarantee on all of their products. If you have never checked out STG Supplements or their American whey protein, you have been missing out on some great deals.
Protein is a vital supplement for any workout enthusiast. Without it, you are risking a catabolic state after every workout. A catabolic state occurs when your body does not have enough nutrients to repair all of the damage that occurred during your workout. This means that your body then resorts to consuming itself, destroying its own muscles to repair the ones in need, which is counteractive to what you are trying to accomplish.
Giving your body a protein supplement ensures that your body never enters this catabolic state. STG Supplements’ American whey protein contains 20 grams of protein per serving. That is more than enough to get your muscles up and running again after an intense exercise regimen. You just have to keep up on taking it daily to ensure that you never have to worry about your body hitting that catabolic state.
Protein has many effects other than just keeping your muscle firm and plump. It also tricks your brain into feeling fuller than normal, which can help ensure that you do not continue snacking all of the time. This little effect is something that any workout lover can tell you that they enjoy. The less calories you consume, the less calories you have to worry about burning. Protein is the ultimate fitness nutrient.
Getting ready for a workout requires a great deal of energy. This energy often comes in the form of carbohydrates, which are not always the healthiest things to consume. The protein in American whey is a great source of energy. In fact, it gives you a huge boost to your body, enabling you to get ready for all of your workouts. This protein will then be burned up through the repair and recovery stage during and after a workout.
As you can see, a protein supplement like STG Supplements’ American whey is a must for working out. It is a healthy alternative to all of the normal workout means.

New Whey Liquid Protein is the ultimate in convenient protein supplementation. Having a great taste and a serving size of about 3 ounces, New Whey is compact and refreshing. With no need for blending, refrigeration and virtually unbreakable packaging, New Whey is perfect for any on the go lifestyle.
New Whey Liquid Protein is made up of three proteins to achieve a patent-pending formula that is both highly bioavailable and complete. It is crucial that protein supplements are complete proteins, meaning it contains the appropriate amounts of all essential amino acids. Incomplete proteins are not capable of benefiting muscle growth. To achieve this high level of quality, all three protein sources in New Whey are enzymatically hydrolyzed or cut into peptides making the combination of proteins complete and more “bioavailable” than other any protein powder, bar or liquid on the market.
Why It Works
New Whey Liquid Protein is more bioavailable than regular whey, whether it is isolated or concentrated because of the speed in which whey passes through the stomach and small intestines. This high speed causes a significant amount of malabsorption. Additional malabsorption from existing whey drinks and bars is the result of the denatured protein molecules. What is Denatured protein? Denaturing occurs when the normal structure of the protein molecules are broken down into an abnormal structure as a result of heat or acid processing (typically for the purposes of pasteurizing or baking protein drinks and bars). This denatured protein can be much more difficult to absorb than non-denatured protein. In contrast, New Whey Liquid Protein is extremely heat stable because it is made completely with peptides and not denatured in any way.
Reviews:
#1. I’m about halfway through a 12 pack of acai berry. I’m not really a fan of this particular flavor. With that said, the flavor isn’t bad at all, it’s kind of like a sour syrup. I must say though, 2 gulps to get 42g of protein is not bad. Definitely gets 2 thumbs up from me. I’m ordering the other flavors right now. Maybe they’ll taste a little better.
#2. These are great to have in your purse for those moments of….I DONT HAVE ANYTHING TO EAT!! I take them to the movie theatre to have with an apple while my kids eat popcorn. I will order the smaller ones next because they are a bit more than I need per meal…I only need 20g protein at each meal. They are really syrup-eee, but hey…. that is ok, they are so small that it is fine.
#3. Extremely sour but it’s just a shot so easy to down it. Kinda messed with my digestive system, but getting 42 grams of protein in such a small amount is incredible. Definitely worth it. I liked this product a lot.
#4. I pretty much swear by this protein and along with the CrossFit and “classic weightlifting” workouts I do, I have experienced some fantastic gains. I’m definitely a big fan of only taking a few sips and being done with drinking protein, rather than having to down a 20 oz. shake to get what I need. On a side note, grape is definitely the best flavor..some of the others (e.g. blue raspberry) aren’t quite as good.

Universal Nutrition EAA Nitro 2.27 Lbs
EAA Nitro supplies the body with a key dose of 6 grams of EAAs and you also get the addition of 35g of dextrose. It all comes in a great tasting grape-flavored drink mix. The added dextrose is a supercharger. This important carb takes those key essential aminos that your muscles need and ignites them. In one recent study, researchers looked at the anabolic impact of 6g of essential aminos mixed with 35g of simple carbs on weightlifters. They found that the EAA/carb drink promoted muscle anabolism and increased protein synthesis by ~400% above pre-drink values when that drink was taken within a short period of time after lifting. So the next time you reach for your favorite post-workout shake, take a serving of EAA Nitro instead. You’ll get all the key aminos your body needs (and none you don’t), plus just the right amount of carbs.

GlutaBolic 500 g by Nutrabolics
GlutaBolic by Nutrabolics is a new biologically superior form of glutamine clinically tested and proven to be more effective at raising glutamine levels than any other glutamine product on the market. While virtually all other glutamine supplements are free-form Glutamine, GlutaBolic is the only product that utilizes the Advanced Glutamine Matrix, synergistically composed of Glutamine Malate, Glutamine AlphaKetoGlutarate, and Glutamine Peptides.
This Advanced Glutamine Matrix is far more stable than L-glutamine, and studies have shown that GlutaBolic is digested up to 200% more than regular free form Glutamine. Is Sleep Killing Your Muscles?
When people talk about protein, most of the time the conversation is around whey. Whey is a fast digesting protein and is great for in the morning and after workouts when your body needs the quick availability and you will be able to eat again soon, but there is a whole other world. Whey is a derivative of milk protein, one of two. The other part is casein. Casein is a slow digesting protein. Meaning it takes the body much longer to break down and digest. My personal pick for casein is Optimum Nutrition.
There are times when having a slow digesting protein is important! Anytime you are going to be without protein for more than four hours, taking casein will keep your body with viable protein sources to make sure your muscles are well taken care of until you can eat again.
Most athletes and gym goers who are concerned with maintaining hard earned muscle mass take casein, at the least, before bed. While you are sleeping, your body is hard at working repairing muscle tissue and without readily available protein is forced to slow tissue repair and/or break down existing muscle tissue and utilize that protein. Taking casein before bed allows your body to maintain muscle mass while repairing new damage.
There are other times casein is beneficial to supplement with, particularly any time you will have to go for a period of time between meals. Some people like to combine whey with casein so there is a constant supply of protein feeding the muscle.
My Favorite Casein Recipe:
1.5 scoops Optimum Casein (vanilla)
¼ cup Frozen Berries
¼ cup Whole Oats
½ t Cinnamon
2 packets of Splenda (or your favorite sweetener)
Water
In a bowl, mix casein, berries, cinnamon, and sweetener with enough water to make a thick batter. Top with oats and freeze for approximately 15 minutes or until solid. Be careful not to freeze too long. The consistency should be like ice cream.
Beverly International Muscle Supplements
When looking around for the right product for you, you can’t always trust the advertisements in the magazines. When you think about it, you end up paying more for the products that advertise in magazines because you have to pay for that companies advertisement cost! There are a lot of companies out there that advertise, because it’s important for them to let people know but should you really suffer? Also, how many times do you end up buying the product, and not even liking it!?
Beverly Nutrition gives you a guarantee on all of their products. They don’t hype it to be bigger than anything else out there; they just give you what works! Two products that are top notch products that have been proven to work are the Quadracarn and the Muscle provider.
As many of you probably already know, and some of you will soon find out. I am a HUGE believer in Carnitine. The Amino Acid L-Carnitine is one of the most important aminos for people. WHY, you ask!? Well Carnintine has been proven in studies by itself to help metabolize fat, along with build muscle, especially on a low calorie diet. Carnitine comes in four different forms altogether; N-Acetyl L-Carnitine, Carnitine L-Tartrate, Proproony L-Carninte, and L-Carnitine. Since you know what L-Carnitine does, lets look at two other types. N-Acetyl L-Carnitine is present throughout our bodies and the central nervous system; it is beneficial towards brain function and energy producing reactions, along with maintaining testosterone levels during stress. L-Carnitine L-Tartrate, is Carnitine and tartaric acid, which is an antioxidant found in grapes and bananas. LCLT has shown to help increase blood flow to muscles (pump), enhances muscle recovery and boosts androgen receptor levels. I think this is enough to prove my point of why Quadracarn is so awesome!
I know that the Quadracarn sounds amazing but let me tell you about one other amazing product. Not all proteins are the same, and many of you already knew that, but what protein should you be looking for? When looking for a fast digestive protein whey is the way to go! But there are different types of whey. With whey you want to get Whey Isolate and/or Hydrosylate. These proteins have been proven to help nitrogen retention, which helps with muscle development. This is what you get in the Muscle Provider . Along with the protein combination that you get, you also get a tons of BCAA’s. Ok, maybe not tons, but half of the amino acid count is BCAA’s.
I know there are a lot of choices, but why pay more for a mediocre product when you can get a high quality product, for a great price! Beverly relies on word of mouth advertisement, and that’s what this is. Once you try it you’ll tell your friends, and they will tells there’s. Anyways, give it a shot, instead of spending your money on a companies advertising cost!
